A Relaxed Autumn Wedding with Tom & Jess

What a day! It was a crisp, late Saturday afternoon in October when Tom and Jess said "I do" at the stunning Guildhall in Boston, Lincolnshire. You know those quiet, anticipation-filled moments just before a wedding truly begins? I love them. And arriving just before Tom gave me that chance to capture a few lovely detail shots before the guests started pouring in.

Tom himself looked dapper in his tux, an image of calm excitement for the incredible day ahead.

Before long, the Guildhall was alive with a wonderful buzz - chatter, laughter, and that electric atmosphere as family and friends arrived, greeting one another. Looking out the window, I caught a glimpse of the bridesmaids pulling up in a super fun, classic VW camper, always a great touch! That was my cue to head downstairs because the star of the show was arriving.

And what an arrival! Jess made her grand entrance in a beautifully restored Austin 10, a car that fit the classic elegance of the day perfectly.

It was pure chaos, pure joy, and the perfect welcome for the newlyweds!

Moments later, it was time. Jess’s mum held her arm as they walked down the aisle, every step radiating emotion. Tom, a bundle of nerves, watched, and the second their eyes met, those nerves instantly melted into the biggest, most infectious grin. The ceremony itself was a perfect mix of smiles, happy tears, and all the heartfelt stuff that makes wedding photography so incredibly rewarding.

Once everything was official, we made the short drive over to The Beonna at All Saints for the reception. But Tom and Jess had a better idea first, a quick spin through the Lincolnshire countryside in the Austin! Who was I to say no to that?

A little backroad exploring led us to a quiet spot overlooking the fields. The light was absolute perfection, that glorious golden hour light, making the perfect backdrop for their first portraits as husband and wife.

By the time we arrived at The Beonna, the guests were ready and waiting. I got everyone rounded up (using my best 'big boy voice'!) for the all-important confetti shot. It was pure chaos, pure joy, and the perfect welcome for the newlyweds!

The rest of the evening was everything a great wedding should be: heartfelt speeches, plenty of laughter, and a packed dance floor thanks to the cracking band. Oh, and outside the venue? A gorgeous steam engine was parked up, which made for some brilliant, unique photo opportunities and a bit of extra fun!

Tom and Jess, thank you both so much for having me along for the ride. I had an absolute blast capturing your day, full of love, laughter, classic elegance, and everything in between. Congratulations!
