Emotions, Laughter & a Bit of Rain - Sam & Heidi’s Beautiful Wedding Day
I rocked up to Sam and Heidi’s place around 9 in the morning, just how I like it, nice and early. I walked in to find Heidi chilling, reading a card from Sam and trying to hold it together. I didn’t even have my camera out at that point, which is a shame, because I love capturing raw little moments like that.
The morning was easy-going and full of good vibes. Hair was being done by Kim, who was an absolute star, the girls were relaxed, and little Poppy was buzzing around like a firecracker, showing us her toys and keeping everyone entertained, I even had time for her to show me how to play with them.
you could tell instantly how tight-knit their circle of friends and family is.
The ceremony was held at Crown Hall Farm, which honestly, is a stunning venue. Perfect for anyone dreaming of an outdoor wedding. Guests were already in high spirits, beers in hand, and although the weather kept us guessing, the clouds held off just long enough for an outdoor “I do.” That walk down the aisle was a long one, but Heidi kept it together beautifully, Sam, not so much. He cracked the second he saw her little Poppy walking towards him, but who could blame him, they looked beautiful.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt, with just the right amount of emotion. We got the confetti moment (and bouquet shielding Heidi’s face when she was covered in it) and then the heavens opened. Classic British weather. Group shots had to be moved inside, but everyone just rolled with it, and we still made it work.
From there, the day flowed into one big celebration. The speeches were packed with laughter and love, you could tell instantly how tight-knit their circle of friends and family is. The kind of bonds built over years, and it showed.
By the time the first dance was done, the party kicked straight off. The dance floor filled in seconds, and some serious moves were flying about. Exactly how I love a wedding night to go, everyone all in, no holding back.
Sam & Heidi, what a day. Thank you for having me there to capture it, it was a pleasure from start to finish.
Whether it’s a big party or an intimate "screw tradition" kind of day, I’m all about capturing the real stuff — no awkward posing, no cheesy moments, just your story told right.
