Photographers, especially on those golden summer Saturdays, get snapped up fast, often 12 to 18 months in advance. So if photos are a big priority for you, it’s definitely worth reaching out sooner rather than later.
I always tell my couples once the venue’s locked in, start shortlisting photographers whose style really speaks to you. And yes, I’m totally realistic, I know couples shop around, and rightly so. My role isn’t just to get booked; it’s to support you however I can. My advice will always be to do what feels right for you.
The earlier you start looking, the more choice you’ll have, and it gives you the breathing room to properly explore photographers’ work.
