Liam & Kate’s Wedding – Big Smiles, Big Moments, and Shoe Beer!

Liam & Kate’s wedding was one for the books. The morning was buzzing with fun and laughter as Kate got ready, with her sister doing everything possible to dodge my camera (which, of course, just made me even more determined, challenge accepted).

One of the most nerve-racking bits for me is always the dress shot, trying to find the perfect spot without spoiling the surprise for anyone. With no space in the house and no one but Kate having seen it, I wasn’t about to be the one to ruin the moment. So, I “borrowed” the dress, took it for a quick spin to the local park, and got those dreamy outdoor shots just before the heavens opened.

Smiles were ear to ear as she walked down the aisle to meet her future husband.

While I was hanging out with Kate and her bridal party, my second shooter Adam (Apodidae Photo) was with the lads – and true to form, they all started at the pub. Liam’s got a ride-or-die crew, and they set the tone for the day perfectly.

It was my first time shooting at The Guildhall, and wow, what a venue. The space was gorgeous with huge windows flooding it with light (a photographer’s dream), though the heat had us all melting. Poor Liam in his three-piece suit definitely deserved a medal.

After the ceremony, we wandered straight into the gardens at Fydell House next door, which was spot-on for group photos and some couple portraits before heading off to the reception.

Guests were met with an ice-cold drink while Liam and Kate arrived in style in a classic car to huge cheers.

The speeches had it all, heartfelt moments, plenty of laughs, and a standout from Liam’s brother, the best man, who brought an Aussie twist by necking a drink from his shoe. Iconic.

The evening ended with The 11th Hour (highly recommend if you’re after a live band that gets the place rocking), plus a few cigars with the lads outside, because apparently one of the groomsmen needed a new profile picture, and who am I to say no?

Liam & Kate, you’re two absolute gems, and it was a privilege to be part of such an emotional, joy-filled day. Thank you for letting me in on the ride.

Whether it’s a big party or an intimate "screw tradition" kind of day, I’m all about capturing the real stuff — no awkward posing, no cheesy moments, just your story told right.
