David & Amanda’s Wedding Day - Love, Laughter & a Hog Roast Feast
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon for Amanda and David’s wedding. I started the day by popping in to see Amanda before she got picked up by the surprise car. It was a perfect chance to say hi to the bridesmaids, and I was tasked with getting the confetti to the best man. I’m always up for a job on the day… though what they didn’t know was a bag was still sitting in my car, so I kind of failed. Shhhhh.
The surprise car arrived, a gorgeous old Rolls Royce and of course, I snapped a few shots before heading to the church to catch the guests arriving.
Smiles were ear to ear as she walked down the aisle to meet her future husband.
And what a group of guests! They pretty much all arrived at the same time, surrounding David with hugs, encouragement, and a few jokes, before heading into the church. The two page boys stayed outside, waiting for Amanda’s arrival. Two little dudes with huge personalities, they even had a bit of a chat with the vicar, taking their roles very seriously.
Then Amanda arrived in the car. As bystanders gathered to watch her step out and show off that stunning dress, the boys were practically bouncing with excitement.
And then came the big moment. David stood nervously at the altar as the music kicked in, all eyes on Amanda. Smiles were ear to ear as she walked down the aisle to meet her future husband. From there, it was hymns and laughter, led by a very funny vicar who kept everything relaxed. David and Amanda were absolutely smitten, looking lovingly at each other the whole way through. Only hiccup? David struggled to get the ring on Amanda’s finger, but with a bit of welly, he managed, and everything was back on track with laughter coming from the guests.
After that first kiss as a married couple, we headed outside for confetti and group shots before making our way to the reception venue. Guests headed straight for the bar to relax, and we had a little wait before the speeches, which gave Amanda and David a chance to visit each table and chat with their close ones.
The food was one of my favourites, hog roast, and I went all in editing some sneak peeks for the couple so they could brag on social media as newlyweds. Before we knew it, evening guests were arriving, the dancefloor was lit, and Northern Soul was blasting.
All in all, it was a fantastic afternoon, filled with wonderful people. Huge congratulations to David and Amanda, thank you for having me!
Whether it’s a big party or an intimate "screw tradition" kind of day, I’m all about capturing the real stuff — no awkward posing, no cheesy moments, just your story told right.
